You isolate the network traffic to the vSphere Replication server by creating a dedicated port group for vSphere Replication traffic.


  1. In a Web browser, log in to vCenter Server by using the vSphere Client.

  2. Create a port group in the sfo01-m01-vds01 distributed switch for the vSphere Replication traffic.
    1. In the Networking inventory, expand the sfo01m01vc01.sfo01.rainpole.local tree and expand the sfo01-m01dc data center.
    2. Right-click the sfo01-m01-vds01 distributed switch and select Distributed port group > New distributed port group.
      The New distributed port group wizard opens.
    3. On the Name and location page, enter sfo01-m01-vds01 as the port group name and click Next.
    4. On the Configure settings page, configure the settings and click Next.

    5. On the Ready to complete page, review the configuration and click Finish.
  3. Repeat the steps to create the vSphere Replication port group on the lax01-m01-vds01 distributed switch in Region B with the following values.
