To troubleshoot problems with the upgrade process, check the installation log file, Workspace_ONE_Access_Connector_Installer.log, which is available in the connector installer directory after upgrade.

You can also view the installation log files for the Directory Sync, User Auth, Kerberos Auth, and Virtual App services in the INSTALL_DIR\Workspace One Access\ directory.

For more information about connector log files, see "Accessing Workspace ONE Access Connector Log Files" in Installing VMware Workspace ONE Access Connector 21.08.

Tailing Connector Log Files

You can tail log files to view the bottom n number of lines from a log file. You can also use the -wait option with the tail command to monitor the logs. With the -wait option, the specified number of lines are printed to the console every time the log is updated.

  1. In the connector server, open Windows PowerShell.
  2. Navigate to the folder that contains the log file.
  3. Enter the following command:

    Get-Content logFile -Tail numberOfLines –wait

    For example:

    Get-Content eds-service.log -Tail 2 –wait
