New Features

Workspace ONE Assist 20.03 (5.4) for macOS

  • Remote View ONLY feature now available on macOS (existing functionality on win10 and android).
  • Remote View with Session elevation from the admin console.
  • Permission based access to remove view vs control.
  • Ability to Revoke remote control permissions by the end user.
  • White Boarding (existing functionality on win10 and android).
  • Connect button within the Settings icon.
  • Update privacy text displayed in the initial privacy dialog.

Workspace ONE Assist 5.3 for macOS

  • Workspace ONE Assist now supports macOS platform in addition to Android, iOS, Windows 10, and Windows CE. Experience the same consistent workflow supported on all other supported platforms.
  • Tools Supported for macOS.
    • Share Screen – Allows view and control of remote device screen.
    • Manage Files -- Provides access to file system on the remote device.
    • Remote Shell – Send terminal commands remotely via a secure channel.
  • Notable Features.
    • Enhanced privacy and security features like mandatory PIN entry authentication, Persistent notifications, and end user control like pause and resume session.
    • Ability to access apps and settings that require admin permissions.
    • Shortcuts to commonly used settings and applications.
    • Multiple monitor support.
    • Detailed app and process related information available for export.
    • Automatic reconnection after reboot and network interruptions.
    • Support for Proxy on the network.

  • macOS 10.13 (high Sierra) or later.
  • Workspace ONE Assist Console 5.3.0.19111
  • Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 1912 or later.
  • Workspace ONE UEM 1912 or later.
  • Latest versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.

    • Failure to update device info during enrollment results in session failures

Known Issues

The known issues are grouped as follows.

Known Issues for version 20.03
    • If the device is rebooted during an active session, the system automatically reinstates the session only after the end user enters the login credentials.
    • If the TCC profile is not installed during the first session, there is a prompt requesting the end user to enable the Accessibility permissions for Assist. The end user is prompted only once.
