Workspace ONE Intelligence components

Workspace ONE Intelligence aggregates data from various Workspace ONE products, for example Workspace ONE UEM, Workspace ONE Access, and VMware Horizon. The system includes dashboards, reports, and workflows to analyze data and perform actions for efficiency and remediation.

Intelligence integrates with third-party services for connections, support, and security. It offers solutions for Experience Management (also called DEEM) and Vulnerability Management. The console brings together data points so you have a single workspace to interact with your Workspace ONE environment.

  1. Go to Accounts > Service Accounts and select ADD.
  2. Name the Service Account and select on GENERATE CLIENT SECRET to generate your Service Account along with your Client ID and Client Secret. The system download a JSON file to the machine your working on.

Trial versions

To try licensed features of Workspace ONE Intelligence, you can activate a trial version and try them for free for 30 days. Features available to try include Dashboards and Workflows. Reporting is available to use without a trial.

After 30 days, access to the trial version ends unless you buy an enterprise license. However, data, connections, and automation configurations are stored. If you buy the licensed features in the future, your data, connections, and automation configurations are not lost. You can continue where your trial version ended.

To activate a trial version, enter the information associated with your Workspace ONE UEM admin credentials. The Workspace ONE team contacts you to see if you want to purchase an enterprise license.

A trial version of Workspace ONE Intelligence displays TRIAL banners on the user interface. It also notifies you of how many days you have left on your trial.

Storage and sampling

Workspace ONE Intelligence uses deployment data to offer Dashboards, Workflows, and Reporting. All these features use the same data that streams from your Workspace ONE deployment.

VMware stores and manages the data in its cloud services infrastructure. The reports cloud service within the services infrastructure collects and imports data at regular intervals from Workspace ONE transactional databases.

My Workspace

The My Workspace page reflects your Workspace ONE services in a single location. You can navigate to your Workspace ONE products or to the Workspace ONE Intelligence options. The options visible on this page depend on the services you have or if you are using a trial. If you want to purchase other Workspace ONE Intelligence or Workspace ONE services, contact your Workspace ONE account representative.

Bookmarks

  • For convenience, use Bookmarks to navigate between the Workspace ONE Intelligence home page and your dashboards. As one of the services you can manage on your home page, you can create bookmarks from Workspace ONE Intelligence dashboard widgets to display in My Bookmarks.
    • Besides convenience, another advantage of bookmark use is to help save your preferences. The system saves your bookmarks to your Workspace ONE Intelligence admin account so the bookmarks are available when you are working in the system.
    • Choose from multiple ways to create a bookmark. You can use the ellipses menu in the Workspace ONE Intelligence dashboard widgets. You can also use the Quick Filter > Bookmarks menu item. After you select the Bookmarks quick filter, point to the right top corner of the widget card and select the bookmark icon. If you use the ellipses menu, you can perform other management functions including removing and renaming bookmarks.

Notifications

You might already receive notifications from Workspace ONE Intelligence by email. You can also view and interact with notification messages within the console. Workspace ONE Intelligence displays notifications in a banner or from a bell icon both located at the top of the screen. Notifications have three severity levels, Informational, Warning, and Critical. To access your notifications, select the bell icon to open the Notifications panel.

  • Notifications panel
    • In the Notifications panel, you can interact with messages individually using the vertical menu bar to dismiss or to mark a notification as read. Some notifications have an option to take action or to access more information about the notification event.
    • You can also use the Mark All As Read and the Dismiss All options to interact with your messages in bulk.
    • If you dismiss a notification from the panel, but you need to view it again, select the View All menu option. This selection takes you to the Notification Center.
  • Notification Center
    • The View All menu option in the Notifications panel navigates you to the Notification Center where you can see a list of all your messages for the last 30 days. Interact with notifications from this list either in bulk or individually. The center offers the same interactions as the panel so you can dismiss messages or use links to take actions or get more information.
    • You can find options to sort and filter your notifications on this page, and find notifications reported in the banner.
    • The Notification Center displays the status for notifications as Active or Inactive. Sometimes a notification may become expired or revoked. The expiring or revoking of the notification changes the status from active to inactive, but you can still find inactive notifications in the Notification Center.
  • Notification Settings
    • Find this page by selecting the bell icon and then selecting the gear icon.
    • Use this page to customize how you receive your notifications for your Workspace ONE services. Currently, you can opt-in or out of receiving some notifications for your Workspace ONE Intelligence service.
    • The system does not let you opt-out of receiving mandatory notifications from this page.
    • Configure to receive notifications about accounts, dashboards, integrations, and reports.
    • There are some mandatory notifications that you cannot opt-out of receiving and you cannot make selections.
