As an admin, you can configure the help feature on the Workspace ONE UEM console. When enabled, the help feature provides you access to the UEM console documentation. It also offers a quick view of the console's new features, thereby helping you get more clarity or answers to the questions you might have when using the UEM console.

What can you do with the Help settings page?

The path to the settings page on the UEM console is Groups & Settings > All Settings > System > Help.

With the Help settings page, you can:
  • Enable the help icon using which you can access the Workspace ONE UEM console documentation website, have a quick view of the console's new features, and if required add a temporary admin.
  • Add a support tab using which you can submit support requests and also search for documentation in the VMware Docs site.

Determine your Organization group hierarchy

Before you review and modify the settings, understand the two types of inheritance/override options for the organization group hierarchy available at the top and bottom of the settings page and determine your choice. For more information about these settings, see Override Versus Inherit Setting for Organization Groups.

  • Current Setting – Select whether to Inherit or Override the displayed settings. Inherit means use the settings of the current organization group's parent OG, while Override enables the settings for editing so you can modify the current OG's settings directly.
  • Child Permission – Select the available behavior of child organization groups that exist below the currently selected organization group. Inherit only means child OGs are only allowed to inherit these settings. Override only means they override the settings, and Inherit or Override means you can choose to inherit or override settings in child OGs that exist below the currently selected OG.
Setting Description
Enable Help Use this setting to enable or deactivate the help icon that appears in the upper right corner of the UEM console.

With the enabled help icon, you can access the Workspace ONE UEM console documentation website, check the news features of the UEM console, or even add a temporary admin.

Enable In-Product Support Use this setting to enable or deactivate the In-Product Support.

If you enable this setting, a Support tab gets added to the far-right edge of the Workspace ONE UEM console screen. When selected, this tab expands to reveal a search text box that you can use to find documentation from VMware Docs.

You can also submit support requests and visit the MyWorkspaceONE portal for community support.
