New Features

Workspace ONE Assist 21.03 for Windows Mobile

  • In this release, we’ve made an update addressing functionality and performance improvements with no new features.

Workspace ONE Assist 20.11 for Windows Mobile

  • Removing Certificate Dependency on Windows Mobile Assist agent

    The Workspace ONE Assist agent currently contains a deployment certificate that expires at regular intervals. When the certificate expires, the Assist agent fails new registrations to the Assist server. In order to avoid registration failures, customers needed to upgrade the Workspace ONE Assist agent on the device.

    To avoid the need for frequent upgrades to the Assist agent, the dependency of embedding the deployment certificate is removed. The Assist agent builds the certificate chain with the embedded root and intermediaries and receives the deployment and leaf certificates from the Assist server. This implementation ensures that the Assist application only makes enrollment requests to a trusted Assist server and all connections are secure.

Workspace ONE Assist 20.07.01 for Windows Mobile

  • In this release, we’ve made an update addressing functionality and performance improvements with no new features.

Minimum Requirements

  • Windows Mobile 5.0 or later device or Windows CE 5/6/7 device.
  • Workspace ONE Assist Console - 21.03.00
  • Windows Mobile Agent 6.5.6.0 or later.
  • Workspace ONE UEM Console 1910 or later.
  • Latest versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.

Download Instructions

  • Prior Version is Not Installed: Download the agent from My Workspace ONE portal. Once downloaded, push the CAB to your devices via Product Provisioning.
  • Prior Version is Installed: If you have a prior version of VMware Windows Mobile Remote Management installed on your device, you must upgrade your existing RM Agent by uninstalling the previous version and then pushing the new version as outlined in the above bullet.
