As a component of the Workspace ONE Drop Ship (Offline) system, this service generates provisioning files (PPKG & Unattend XML files) in the Workspace ONE UEM console for offline provisioning of Windows devices. You must install and configure this service to use the Workspace ONE Drop Ship Provisioning (Offline) process to deliver fully provisioned devices from the factory.

- The Factory Provisioning Service now includes security updates and it supports the latest Software Distribution Agent.
- The Factory Provisioning Service no longer adds the Workspace ONE App Catalog application by default in provisioning packages. You can use the catalog view in the Hub Services in Workspace ONE UEM 2008 or later.
