Download Instructions

How to Download Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub for Android

Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 23.10 or Android November 2023

New Features

  • Open the Hub FAQ links within Hub: Hub FAQ links now seamlessly open within the Hub app, eliminating the need to launch a separate browser on the device. This is particularly helpful for restricted/Kiosk mode deployments (especially for frontline use-cases) where users are not expected to navigate out of the Hub app.

  • See OEMConfig and other headless apps: Administrators can now see when an OEMConfig application, like KNOX Service Plugin or Zebra OEMConfig clients, is installed on their devices. Administrators can now push a Custom Settings Profile to enable sampling and reporting of headless applications, including the installed version. See How to Enable Sampling of OEMConfig and Other Headless Apps for more information.

Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 23.09 or Android October 2023

New Features

  • [Limited Availability] Support to perform Certificate Based Authentication (CBA) into Access/Hub Services: Hub now supports the ability to perform certificate based authentication (CBA) into Access to use various Hub Services features (e.g. app catalog, notifications, support, etc.) natively. So far, it has been supported using Workspace Access Mobile SSO feature and requires Tunnel app to be installed and configured on the device to perform the CBA. With the new native capability, there is no dependency on Tunnel for CBA. The new native CBA in Hub is currently supported for only 3rd party CAs, support for AirWatch CA will be coming soon. The feature is currently controlled through an admin configuration (by default it is disabled) and supported only for Android 10+.

  • Support for displaying user privacy dialog during enrollment of Work Managed Android devices: By default, Android Intelligent Hub does not display the user privacy dialog during enrollment of devices in Work Managed mode. To better meet use cases where individual end users are assigned a fully managed device, administrators can now opt to display this dialog by including an additional enrollment flag (also called DPC Extra)in QR codes, OOBE configurations (Zero Touch Enrollment, KNOX Mobile Enrollment, Meta Quest for Business, etc.), and other provisioning methods.

Resolved Issues

  • HUB-9970: Certificate-based Authentication issues on Android 10 and below.

  • AAGNT-196515: Managed App Config for Internal Apps fails in Closed Network Environments.

  • HUB-10041: Access denied with Certificate-based authentication enabled on Android 9 and below devices.

  • Shift-Based Access Control with UKG Dimensions (Limited Availability)

    • The Shift-based Access Control feature allows customers to selectively restrict access to Intelligent Hub features based on whether the shift-based worker is on or off the clock. This version of the feature allows configurable restriction of Hub Services, notifications, app entitlements, and single sign-on when the user is not deemed to be working, as defined by the customers UKG Dimensions time and attendance system.

    • This version of Shift-based Access Control supports integration with UKG Dimensions and requires Hub Services 2308+, Workspace ONE Access 2209+, and Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub for iOS and Android 23.08+.

Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 23.07 for Android August 2023

New Features

  • Android 14 Support: See Getting Ready for Android 14 (2023).

  • Support for shared devices with Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) Conditional Access: Workspace ONE UEM 2306 and higher is required for this feature.

  • Non-critical Device Actions in Hub: We are introducing the following non-critical actions which can be executed by the user remotely on any of the enrolled devices through the Hub Support tab - Make Noise, Change Device Passcode, Clear Device Passcode. This helps end users to execute these actions in a self-service manner when required, without requiring any help from the service desk or IT support. This requires Hub Services 23.06 or later and Workspace ONE UEM 2302 or later.

  • Ability to Hide the Apps and Favorites Tabs: We are introducing the ability for the customers to hide Apps and/or Favorites  tab if their use-case requires it. Until now, the Apps tab was turned on when using Hub Services. To hide the Apps and/or the Favorites tab, admins need to turn off the toggles in the Hub Services console for those tabs. If any of the other tabs are configured to be shown i.e. People, For You, Support, Custom tab, those other tabs will show without the Apps and Favorites tab needing to be shown. If the Apps tab is disabled but Favorites tab is still enabled, Web Links will be the only feature visible on the Favorites tab.

Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 23.06 for Android July 2023

New Features

  • Reduced minimum battery level for wiping and Enterprise Reset for Zebra devices

Historically, Workspace ONE UEM administrators have only been able to wipe or Enterprise Reset Zebra Android devices when their battery level is at 50% or higher. The minimum battery level is reduced to 5%. This minimum applies to unenrollment initiated by device end users as well as Device Wipe and Enterprise Reset commands issued by administrators.

  • Device camera for authentication with 3rd-party IDPs through Workspace ONE Access

Certain Identity Providers support authentication methods that leverage the device camera, the most common being facial authentication. For organizations who integrate with 3rd-party IDPs through Workspace ONE Access, Intelligent Hub now supports launching the device camera for authentication purposes during enrollment and checkout of shared devices.

  • Device Actions in Hub

This feature allows the end users to execute two critical actions , Enterprise Wipe and Delete Device, on any of their enrolled devices through the Hub Support tab. • Due Alerts for Notifications

Notifications that require end-user attention and have a due date are now marked with a Due Alert icon along with the information about the time remaining for the user to take action on the notification. • Disable Chrome on Devices running Android 9.0
