• Configuration for page text zoom percentage.

  New Custom Setting has been introduced to set zoom percentage of text on webpage in range of 50% & 200%. Default text zoom percentage remains at 100%.

• Standardize support options across iOS and Android platforms.

  Removed inconsistency for few Support screen options between iOS & Android Workspace ONE Web for Rage Shake.

Workspace ONE Web 23.04 – April 2023

New Features

• Admin Configuration to add a new Search Engine in Workspace ONE Web.

  This enables the Web admins to configure additional search engines (internal or external) in the Web. The configured search engines become available to the end users in the existing list of search engines, and they can choose to use them as needed.

• Device Widget for Workspace ONE Web Bookmark.

  Now users can add device widget that can list the bookmarks configured in WS1 Web. This allows users to launch Web apps faster in WS1 Web directly from device’s home screen hence providing quicker to access bookmarks.

Workspace ONE Web 23.02 – February 2023

• Enable shift-based access control.

  This feature enables the admins to put shift based access on Web which restricts the end users to access Web application on their mobile devices if they are not in their shift hours

Minimum Requirements

  Workspace ONE Applications do not support being pushed as managed apps from the App Store or deployed via VPP (Volume Purchase Program) method on iOS 14 and iPadOS 14. For more information about how to resolve issue, see this VMware knowledge base article.

• IBRW-174977: Make the font size of the error screen text more mobile screen friendly.

• IBRW-174580: Web logo/branding flashes distractingly after assigning an SSO Extension profile.

• IBRW-174870: Workspace ONE Web loads a tunnelled page with blank screen while switching from Tunnel Proxy to Tunnel.

• ESC-35472: Intermittent login issue with Access and Forgerock SAML integration.

  This will enable the admins to monitor the usage and performance of Workspace ONE Web through Workspace ONE Intelligence.

• IBRW-174830: iOS Web doesn’t honor “Data Sharing” in Privacy Screen from Settings.

• IBRW-174811: WS1 Web fails to download non-renderable files while opening urls with downloadables from webclips.

• IBRW-174819: QR code in Kiosk mode stops working when navigating away from the Home Screen.

  Follow the following steps as workaround:

  1. Kill and relaunch the Workspace ONE Web app before launching another web clip or custom url.

  2. Wait for 2 to 3 minutes before launching another web clip or custom url.

Workspace ONE Web 22.11 – November 2022

New Features

• Allow WS1 Web to email and delete multiple downloaded files at once

  This will enable the Web iOS users to take actions like email, delete on multiple downloaded files at a time. For example, user will be able to send multiple files from downloads as attachments in an email using Boxer or another email client on the phone.

• New iOS15 WKWebView Download delegate to avoid 2 requests to download files not render able by WKWebview

  This enhancement will avoid 2 separate requests while downloading files which are not render able within Workspace ONE Web on iOS 15 or higher.

• IBRW-174742: App Freezes while opening PDF documents in Kiosk Mode.

Known Issues

• IBRW-174811: Workspace ONE Web fails to download non-renderable files while opening URLs with downloadable from webclips.

  Follow the following steps as workaround:

  1. Kill and relaunch the Workspace ONE Web app before launching another web clip or custom url.

  2. Wait for 2 to 3 minutes before launching another web clip or custom url.

• IBRW-174833: WS1 Web Crashes on iPad on opening bookmarks page.

  This will enable the admins to control download actions in Workspace ONE Web based on the file type being downloaded.

• IBRW-174521: Watermark support in DLP settings for WS1 Web

  This will enable the admins to configure showing watermark as a data loss prevention (DLP) capability on the websites opened through Workspace ONE Web to protect the confidential data or information exposed through these websites.

• IBRW-174688: Blank banner seen on full screen mode during scroll down hiding url bar.

New Features

• Support user defined order for web bookmarks

  Users will now be able to reorder bookmarks as per their preference and save the order for faster access to their frequently used or favorite bookmarks.

• Use first letter of bookmark title for bookmark abbreviation when there is no icon

  Web now shows first letter of the name/title of bookmark instead of the first letter of the URL if corresponding page doesn’t have any icon associated with it, to help user to better identify a bookmark in absence of an icon.

Resolved Issues

• IBRW-174477: Information on IA Cert for Web App not shown.

• IBRW-174540: IA workflow fails post session timeout when the app is in memory or background.

• Support Web standalone secure browsing with CWS

  This will enable the admins to extend the security capabilities of Workspace ONE Web application running in standalone mode by applying the web security policies configured through VMware Cloud Web Security service.

• Enable in-app App Store rating prompt

  This will enable the end users to rate Workspace ONE Web experience from within the application through the in-app App Store rating prompt.

• Enable URL QR scanning Option in Kiosk mode

  This provides a new configuration for the admins to enable URL QR scanning option in single tab Kiosk mode.

• Bug Fixes & Stability improvements

• IBRW-174428: Unable to access sites within Geofence on WEB.

• Support WS1 Web URL authentication use case via PIV-D using Yubikey

  This enables the end users to authenticate into the web applications opened in Workspace ONE Web browser using a Yubikey accessory via PIV-D Manager application.

Resolved Issues

• IBRW-174293: Support download with HTTP POST request.

Workspace ONE Web 22.03 – March 2022

• Bug Fixes & Stability improvements.

• Support Cut/Copy/Paste functionality for O365 web Applications in Web.

• Enhancements to IA certificate renewal option.

  Web now shows proper success and failure messages when the user clicks on the IA certificate renewal option under Settings.

• Improve organization and discovery of bookmarks in Web.

  The search in bookmarks now works across the title and URL. And the bookmarks are now sorted by default in an alphabetical manner on both the bookmark launcher home page and the bookmarks page. This will now enable users to discover the bookmarks more easily.

• Show a secure icon in the URL address bar when URL is accessed using HTTPS.

  Web now shows a secure padlock icon in the address bar when a secure HTTP URL is accessed to indicate to the users that the connection is secure their private information will be safe on this URL.

Workspace ONE Web 22.02 – February 2022

• Single tab Kiosk mode configuration to hide URL bar and/or navigation controls.

  This will provide admin configurations to hide URL address bar and/or bottom bar (navigation controls and home button) from Web browser in single tab Kiosk mode. This will enable the customers to provide locked-down full-screen experience in Kiosk mode to the frontline workers to keep them focused on the workflow or task that they are supposed to work on through the configured web applications in Kiosk mode and minimize distractions.

• Bug Fixes & Stability improvements.
