You can entitle the pre-hire users group or individual pre-hire users to resources in the Workspace ONE Access catalog. The pre-hires can access the apps from the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub portal on a web browser.

  1. In the Workspace ONE Access console, go to Catalog > Web Apps.
  2. Select an app that the pre-hire user group can access.
  3. Click Assign and in Search enter the name of the pre-hire user group.
  4. In the Entitlement Type column for the pre-hire group, select Include.
  5. Click Save.

Add the pre-hire user group to each app that users can access.

Note: Limit the number and type of apps that are enabled for the pre-hire group to only the apps that are required to complete the pre-hire tasks. Make sure to include the apps that are required in the steps on the New Hire Welcome page.

How to Exclude Pre-Hire Group from Secure Apps

If the pre-hire user is also included in other Active Directory groups and Workspace ONE Access user groups, you can explicitly exclude the pre-hire user group from apps. For example, the pre-hire group is entitled to apps that are entitled to ALL USERS. To prevent pre-hires from accessing those apps, you exclude the pre-hire group from accessing those web apps that are assigned to ALL USERS.

  1. In the Workspace ONE Access console, go to Catalog > Web Apps.
  2. Select an app that the pre-hire user group cannot access.
  3. Click Assign and in Search select the name of the pre-hire user group.
  4. In the Entitlement Type column for that group, select Exclude.
  5. Click Save.

Remove the pre-hire user group from each app that pre-hires cannot access.
