Workspace ONE Intelligence 22.11.07

New Features

  • We've updated Login Risk Scoring.

    • When a new user begins to leverage Login Risk, a training period is initiated to construct a profile modeling the specific user’s login behavior. During this training period, the new user’s Login Risk is automatically set to Medium risk because the Login Risk algorithm is in the process of baselining this login activity. After the system has collected an adequate sample set of logins, the algorithm begins to dynamically generate the user’s Login Risk based on the conjoined frequency and recency of the device and location used for login.

    • For details related to Risk Score Based Authentication, see the topic Configuring Risk Score Based Authentication in Workspace ONE Access (Cloud only).

    • For information related to Risk Scoring and Workspace ONE Intelligence, see the topic Risk Scoring (Workspace ONE Intelligence Risk Analytics).

  • We are adding a new user score for Count of failed logon events. Find this new user score in the category Intelligence → User Experience Score.

  • We are adding a new device score for Average Disk Space in percent. Find this new device score in the category Intelligence → Device Experience Score.

  • We've changed the Count of OS Crashes time window from 7 days to 4 hours.

However, we've now updated the connection in response to the deprecation of Incoming Webhooks. Additionally, the Slack Web API connector allows for enhanced capabilities allowing you to send messages to multiple public channels, private channels, and direct messages.

  • Introducing a self-checking mechanism called the Device Checksum that enhances Workspace ONE Intelligence's device data accuracy.

Device Checksum checks a list of device attributes between Workspace ONE UEM and Workspace ONE Intelligence on a daily basis. If there is any discrepancy discovered, it automatically initiates a resync to correct it. The device attributes it checks are:

    • Asset Number

    • BIOS Version

    • Compliance Status

    • Ownership

    • Encryption Status

    • Enrollment Status

    • Username

    • IMEI

    • Compromised

    • Security Patch Update

    • Manufacturer Name

    • OS Version

    • OS Build/Revision Number

    • Security Patch Date

    • Device Tags

    • TPM Chip

The system activates this feature automatically, but you must use Workspace ONE UEM version 2109 or later.

If your Workspace ONE UEM service is on-premises, ensure that you activate the auto upgrade setting for your VMware Workspace ONE Intelligence Connector.

  • Organization experience score now updated every 4 hours in Experience Managment (DEEM).

This enhancement offers you granular insight into you overall organization experience score changes and trends within a 24 hours period. With this enhancement, you can be even more proactive in identify and supporting end users with poor performing devices through earlier alerting, investigation, and remediation.

Workspace ONE Intelligence 22.08.22

New Features

  • You can customize the color theme of custom widgets in dashboards.

You can customize the color theme of custom widgets, only. The system displays color themes based on who owns the widget and with whom you've shared the custom widget.

    • You can override a color theme of any custom widget shared with you. However, if you don't own the widget, only you see your chosen color theme.

    • If you own a widget where you have changed its color theme and you share it, other viewers see the widget's updated color theme.

    • If you own a widget previously shared with others and you change the color theme, the system displays the new color theme to other users.

  • You can now use the Data Range filter in dashboard widgets to focus on a specific portion of your dataset.

Saved viewing preferences only display for you, so when you save your data range viewing preferences, the saved view does not display for other users.
