Workspace ONE Cloud Admin Hub

The Workspace ONE Cloud Admin Hub, a web-based administrative platform that connects End-User Computing (EUC) services to manage and deliver the digital workspace, includes administrative features like opting in and out of using cookies, sharing your feedback, and configuring notifications.

Access and display name

Accessed through VMware Cloud services, Workspace ONE Cloud Admin Hub provides single sign-on (SSO) into your Workspace ONE suite of products and other EUC services.

The Workspace ONE service is the Workspace ONE Cloud Admin Hub console.

The Workspace ONE Cloud Admin Hub console is branded as Workspace ONE, so launch your Workspace ONE service from VMware Cloud services to access the Workspace Cloud Admin Hub.

Cookie usage and third-party analytics tools

Workspace ONE collects data to observe and enhance the customer experience and for other purposes as per VMware’s Privacy Notices. Some of this data is collected using cookies and similar technology like Pendo.

A banner on the Workspace ONE homepage informs you about the cookie usage, which is to analyze and improve your services. Select the Cookie Usage button to learn more about the cookie usage policy and about ways to activate or deactivate Pendo Analytics and Guides.

You can select the Cookie Usage button to opt-in or opt-out of using cookies

Selecting Cookie Usage displays the Cookie Usage page. This page explains how Workspace ONE acquires and uses cookies and provides the capability to opt-in or opt-out of Pendo Analytics and Guides.

Use the toggle options to opt-in or opt-out of using the Pendo tool

Cookie usage settings apply to all services

Pendo is a third-party tool integrated with Workspace ONE that collects cookies to understand how Workspace ONE services are used by tracking how admins interact and use the services.

Workspace ONE activates Pendo Analytics and Guides tracking by default for all admins, but you can use the Pendo widget to opt-in or opt-out of tracking at any time. However, when you do change your configurations, the system applies your configurations across all your Workspace ONE services. For example, if you opt-out of usage and interaction, the system deactivates your tracking across all Workspace ONE services until you opt back in.

Note: The action to elect in or out is a user preference and does not apply to other admins in the organization.

How do you change your cookie usage selections?

If you made changes to your cookie usage preferences but you want to edit your configurations, use your profile to change your settings.

  1. Select your profile name and select View My Profile.
Change your opt-in Pendo analytics selections by using your profile.
  2. Select Cookie Usage.
  3. Edit the toggle menu items to reflect if you want to share cookie usage or not.

Share your feedback

Your feedback helps the Workspace ONE Cloud Admin Hub team improve current functionality and develop future enhancements. To gather your valuable insights, the Workspace ONE Cloud Admin Hub periodically asks you for feedback using an automatic feedback widget. You can also share feedback with the team at any time using links within the console.

If you have no feedback at the time the widget displays, you can easily close the widget. If you do not want to be prompted for feedback periodically, you can opt-out using the gear icon in the widget. Select Configure Feedback Settings and enable Don’t ask my feedback.

Important: After you opt-out of the feedback prompts, you cannot opt back in.

If you do opt-out but would still like to share your valuable experiences and thoughts, you can share feedback with the Workspace ONE Cloud Admin Hub team anytime in three areas.

  • Select the Help icon (question mark in a circle) in the header of the UI and choose the Share Your Feedback link.
  • Select the Share Your Feedback link in the footer of the UI.
  • Select Getting Started in the top navigation and go to the Basics area to select the Share Your Feedback link. This feedback mechanism is specific to getting started tasks.

Notifications

You might already receive notifications by email. You can also view and interact with notification messages within the console. Workspace Cloud Admin Hub displays notifications in a banner or from a bell icon both located at the top of the screen. Notifications have three severity levels, Informational, Warning, and Critical. To access your notifications, select the bell icon to open the Notifications panel.

  • Notifications panel
In the Notifications panel, you can interact with messages individually using the vertical menu bar to dismiss or to mark a notification as read. Some notifications have an option to take action or to access more information about the notification event. You can also use the Mark All As Read and the Dismiss All options to interact with your messages in bulk. If you dismiss a notification from the panel, but you need to view it again, select the View All menu option. This selection takes you to the Notification Center.
  • Notification Center
    • The View All menu option in the Notifications panel navigates you to the Notification Center where you can see a list of all your messages for the last 30 days. Interact with notifications from this list either in bulk or individually. The center offers the same interactions as the panel so you can dismiss messages or use links to take actions or get more information.
    • You can find options to sort and filter your notifications on this page, and find notifications reported in the banner.
    • The Notification Center displays the status for notifications as Active or Inactive. Sometimes a notification may become expired or revoked. The expiring or revoking of the notification changes the status from active to inactive, but you can still find inactive notifications in the Notification Center.

End User Management

Explore VMware Identity Services for End User Provisioning to Workspace ONE services.

You can use VMware Identity Services to set up user provisioning and identity federation with your cloud-based identity provider. VMware Identity Services enables centralized user management across Workspace ONE services, including Workspace ONE UEM and Workspace ONE Access.

To get started with VMware Identity Services, navigate to Accounts > End User Management in the console. Find end user management in the console in the Accounts area.

For more information, see VMware Identity Services Release Notes and Configuring User Provisioning and Identity Federation with VMware Identity Services.
