Disable Automatic Connection of USB Devices

You can disable the autoconnect feature if you do not want USB devices to connect to a virtual machine when you power it on.

Prerequisites

Power off the virtual machine.

Procedure

1. Select the virtual machine and select Virtual Machine > Virtual Machine Settings.
2. On the Hardware tab, select USB Controller.
3. Deselect Automatically connect new USB devices to disable automatic connection of USB devices.
4. Click OK to save your changes.
