Start a Virtual Machine in Workstation Player

You can start a virtual machine from the Workstation Player window.

Prerequisites

Verify that the virtual machine files are accessible to the host system.

Procedure

1. If the virtual machine does not appear in the library, select File > Open a Virtual Machine.
2. Browse to and select the virtual machine configuration (.vmx) file, and click Open.
   The virtual machine appears in the library.
3. Select the virtual machine in the library and select Virtual Machine > Power > Play Virtual Machine.
4. Click anywhere inside the virtual machine console to give the virtual machine control of the mouse and keyboard on the host system.
5. Log in to the guest operating system.
