Port |
Select a unique port number for the virtual machine. A unique port number is required to connect to multiple virtual machines on the same host. Use a port number in the range 5901 to 6001. The default port is 5900.
Important:
Make sure that you specify an available port number. The VMware Management Interface uses ports 8333 and 8222. The VMware Workstation Server service uses port 443 by default. On Linux, only the root user can listen to ports up to port number 1024. |
Password |
The password to use to connect to the virtual machine from a VNC client. It can be up to eight characters long. Because the password is not encrypted when the VNC client sends it, do not use a password that you use for other systems. |
