About VMware Workstation Pro
VMware Workstation Pro™ enables technical professionals to develop, test, demonstrate, and deploy software by running multiple x86-based Windows, Linux, and other operating systems simultaneously on the same PC.
You can replicate server, desktop, and tablet environments in a virtual machine and allocate multiple processor cores, gigabytes of main memory and graphics memory to each virtual machine, whether the virtual machine resides on a personal PC or on a private enterprise cloud.

What's New
This release of VMware Workstation Pro is a free upgrade for all VMware Workstation 15 Pro users.

Important Fixes
This release of VMware Workstation Pro addresses the following issue:
- VMware Workstation Pro contains an integer overflow vulnerability in the virtual network devices which may allow a guest to execute code on the host. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the identifier CVE-2018-6983 to this issue. See VMSA-2018-0030 for further information.

Resolved Issues
- Nested virtual machines might cause Workstation Pro processes to crash
When you nest a virtual machine within a virtual machine, Workstation Pro might crash as it displays the following message: NOT_IMPLEMENTED vmcore/vmm/hv/vt/hv-vt.c.
This issue is resolved.
