With the vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR portal, you can perform vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR tasks, monitor their progress, or view their state.

Getting Information from the Local Site Home Page

After you log in to the vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR portal as a tenant, you can review the vApp Status Summary and the Topology panes, and the Recent Tasks list for the local site.

The vApp Status Summary pane lists the current health of vApps replications when this site is either a source or a destination site.

The Topology pane shows the incoming and outgoing vApps replications for both of the source and destination sites.

Viewing Protected vApps

The Incoming Replications and Outgoing Replications tabs list DR workloads that are protected in the local site that you are currently logged in and workloads protected in the remote site respectively.

You use the filter icon in each column of the replications table to access specific read-only data on vApp or VM, RPO, data connection state, recovery state, replication health, and last updates for replications. Use the search text box to filter incoming or outgoing replications by entering a vApp or a VM name.

You can monitor ongoing and review replication tasks completed during the last 48 hours from the Replication Tasks tab.

Performing vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR Tasks

By using the Incoming Replications and Outgoing Replications panes in the vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR portal, you can perform the following vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR tasks.

  • Failover workloads among source and destination sites.

  • Reverse failed over workloads to synchronize data between local and remote sites.

  • Test replication tasks and Clean up test data.

  • Remove a vApp or a virtual machine (VM) from the vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR managed vApp or VM set by confirming a Delete operation.

The DR Workloads page contains a detailed list of all incoming and outgoing replications running in both sites.

To initiate a task on a vApp or a VM in the DR Workloads page, you must call out the Actions pane by clicking the vApp. The Actions pane lists all available actions and details about the current state of the vApp or the VM.
