During the initial vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR configuration, vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR registers as a vCloud Director plug-in so that you can access the vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR portal directly from the vCloud Director Tenant Portal.

Accessing the vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR portal from the vCloud Director Tenant Portal simplifies management operations and allows you to manage your cloud and disaster recovery environments from a single user interface.

Prerequisites

  • Verify that your vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR environment is running vCloud Director version 9.1 or later.

  • Verify that your user profile has a Organization Administrator role assigned.

Procedure

  1. In a Web browser, go to https://vcloud.example.com/tenant/Organization-Name.

    The vCloud Director Tenant Portal login page opens.

  2. Log in as a vCloud Director Organization Administrator.
  3. From the main menu, select Availability.

    The following message displays: The service at https://vApp-Replication-Manager-IP-Address:8443 is currently unavailable. Try again later and if the problem persists, contact your cloud provider.

  4. Click the https://vApp-Replication-Manager-IP-Address:8443 link.

    A new tab opens in your Web browser.

  5. To trust the SSL certificate of the vCloud Availability vApp Replication Manager appliance, click Accept.

    The vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR portal opens in the Web browser tab that is logged in to the vCloud Director Tenant Portal.

    You must trust the SSL certificate of the vCloud Availability vApp Replication Manager appliance only when you use vCloud Director Tenant Portal to access the vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR portal for the first time. After you trust the certificate, selecting Availability from the vCloud Director Tenant Portal main menu opens the vCloud Availability for Cloud-to-Cloud DR portal.
