Users can enable customer notifications for different events
To set notification services
On Settings, go to Event Notification, and click the (edit) icon corresponding to the problem, for which you want to enable e-mail notifications and SNMP.
In the Edit System Notification dialog box, enter the email address to which you want the email notification to be sent. In the Email Frequency box, select the time frequency at which you want to receive notifications.
Select the Enable SNMP trap for this event checkbox to set SNMP notifications.
Once successfully enabled, the respective mail and SNMP icons appear, as highlighted in the screenshot below.
