In vRealize Network Insight, you can add your VMware vCenter Server, VMware NSX-T (VMC - NSX Manager), and VMware HCX that are deployed in VMware Cloud on Dell EMC.

Configuring VMware Cloud on Dell EMC in vRealize Network Insight

To get insight about your VMware vCenter Server, VMware NSX-T (VMC - NSX Manager), and VMware HCX that are deployed in VMware Cloud on Dell EMC, you must add VMware vCenter Server, VMware NSX-T(VMC - NSX Manager), and VMware HCX in vRealize Network Insight.

To add your VMware vCenter Server, VMware NSX-T (VMC - NSX Manager), and VMware HCX that are deployed in VMware Cloud on Dell EMC, do the following:

Important:
  • Using a vRealize Network Insight collector deployed in one VMware Cloud (VMC) SDDC to collect data from another VMware Cloud (VMC) SDDC is not supported.
  • You must deploy the vRealize Network Insight collector on a native VMware Cloud (VMC) segment. Deploying a collector on extended segments is not supported.
Note: Deploy a vRealize Network Insight collector within every SDDC that needs to be added as a data source.
Note: For a single node SDDC in VMware Cloud (VMC), CPU resource reservation for the proxy VM must be at least 1251 MHz.
Important: During this step, you must configure Web proxies and Firewall rules for VMware Cloud (VMC).
3 Add VMware vCenter Server deployed in VMware Cloud on Dell EMC in vRealize Network Insight Add a VMware Cloud (VMC) - vCenter
4 Generate an API token from VMware Cloud Services Generate API Tokens
Note:

For VMware Cloud on Dell EMC, you must have VMC on Dell EMC Administrator and VMC on Dell EMC Cloud Admin role for NSX service roles.
5 Add NSX-T (VMC - NSX Manager) in vRealize Network Insight Add a VMware Cloud (VMC) - NSX Manager
