An application is a collection of tiers. Each tier in an application is a collection of VMs, Kubernetes services, and physical IPs.
You can create a group of tiers and visualize traffic or flows between:
- Applications
- Tiers of the same application
- Shared services
- Internet
You can create or add an application into
vRealize Network Insight in three ways:

When you upgrade to vRealize Network Insight version 6.8, application alerts raised due to analytics threshold configuration are closed automatically. If the alerts persist, they are raised as intent alerts by the system after 24 hours of the upgrade.
