The Federation page is available only for the vRealize Cloud Universal subscription users.

Note: If your vRealize Universal License subcription expires, the Federation page data collection is disabled. The data collection resumes once the vRealize Universal license subscrption is renewed but the data pertaining to the expired subscription duration is lost and is unrecoverable.

To access the Federation page, in the navigation panel on the left of the Homepage, click Federation.

In this page, you see the following sections:

Summary

You See:

  • The total number of critical alerts across all the deployed instances.
    • Click the total number of alerts to view the number of alerts in each instance.
    • Click the number next to each instance to launch the alerts page of that instance and view the alert details.
  • The total number of flows across all the deployed instances.
    • Click the total number of flows to view the number of flows in each instance.
    • Click the number next to each instance to launch the flows page of that instance and view the flow details.
  • The total number of Internet flows and East-West flows across all the deployed instances. Click the number of total Internet flows or East-West flows to view the flows details.
  • The total number of applications across all the deployed instances.
    • Click the total number of applications to view the number of applications in each instance.
Key changes You see the total number of data sources, applications, and security groups that had changes in the last 24 hours across all the deployed instances.
  • Click the total number corresponding to data sources, applications, and security groups to see the number of changes that occurred in each deployment.
  • Click the number next to each instance to launch the corresponding page and view the details.
Environment

You see health of the entities associated with the supported environments of the deployed instances. Click the health indicator of any entity to view the details or launch the entity details page.

Deployed Instances You see the location, health, capacity, and usage information of the all the deployed vRealize Network Insight and vRealize Network Insight Cloud instances.
Note: When you click any number to launch the details page and if the page belongs to a vRealize Network Insight Cloud instance, you must have access to that organization to view the details page.

If the page belongs to a vRealize Network Insight instance, you will be prompted to login to that vRealize Network Insight instance to view the details page.
