What's New

VMware vRealize Operation Management Pack for Cloud Director Availability 1.1 includes several resolved issues, updates of third-party libraries that provide security fixes, and interoperability updates.

Additionally, VMware vRealize Operation Management Pack for Cloud Director Availability 1.1 adds new metrics called recovery statistics, that are all aggregated on the OrgVDC level.

Upgrade

To upgrade to VMware vRealize Operations Management Pack for Cloud Director Availability 1.1, in vRealize Operations Manager, install the .pak file with that version. For more information, see the Upgrade page in the vRealize Operations Management Pack for Cloud Director Availability Install, Upgrade, and Use Guide.

Resolved Issues

• Additional VMware Cloud Director Availability installations not dicovered by the adapter registered with a Cloud Director address

  With multiple provider vDCs in Cloud Director, when VMware Cloud Director Availability is installed for one provider VDC, after registering the adapter in vRealize Operations Manager with a Cloud Director address, a subsequent VMware Cloud Director Availability installation in another provider VDC is not detected by the registered adapter in vRealize Operations Manager.

Known Issues

• Cannot register the management pack with Cloud Director address registered with multiple unresponding VMware Cloud Director Availability instances

  During registration of the management pack with a Cloud Director address already registered with multiple VMware Cloud Director Availability instances, when Cloud Director has no connectivity to too many VMware Cloud Director Availability instances, expires the timeout in vRealize Operations Manager for management pack registration, with the following message: Wait for response of task 'Test connection' is timed out for collector 'vRealize Operations Manager Collector-vRealize Cluster Node'.

  Workaround: In the VMware Cloud Director Service Provider Admin Portal, delete the unresponsive instances of the VMware Cloud Director Availability plug-in.

  1. From the top navigation bar, select More > Customize Portal.
  2. Select the check box next to the name of the unresponsive plug-in, and click Delete.
  3. To confirm, click Save.

  Then in vRealize Operations Manager, for the management pack register the Cloud Director address again.
