Preparing your environment

Configure the Kubernetes adapter only when TKGm is used to deploy the Kubernetes Clusters.

Prerequisites

• Ensure that you have installed vRealize Operations 8.1 or later or have access to vRealize Operations Cloud.

• Verify that you have installed VMware vRealize^® Operations™ Management Pack for Kubernetes.

• Verify that the Kubernetes Clusters available in the TKGm environment have the cAdvisor DaemonSet configured on port 31194.

• Note:

  You can create user-defined custom roles but the roles should have read-only access to all the resources in the cluster and the Kubernetes API.
