You can import an existing vRealize Network Insight environment into vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager.
Prerequisites
Verify that there is an instance of vRealize Network Insight along with its user credentials available.
Procedure
- After creating an environment on the Create Environment page, open the product card and select the vRealize Network Insight check box.
- Click Import and then click Next.
- On the Product Details page, enter the vRNI Admin user name.
All authorization tokens are generated using the administrator user name and password.
- Enter the Console Password and Support Password.
With console user and support user credentials, you can run
vRealize Network Insight-specific commands and debug your environment.
Note: The support password for all nodes must be identical. Although, import of
vRealize Network Insight can be successful, future operations such as upgrade precheck, upgrade, password update, clustering and so on fail if the passwords are not identical. You must change the support password of all nodes to one single password. Similarly, console passwords of all nodes must be identical. The console and support password can be identical for all nodes. If each node has different passwords, then the import request fails. You can provide the correct password in the retry of each failed request sequence.
- Enter the vRNI Admin Password and Platform IP address.
- Select the vCenter instance from the drop-down menu and click Next.
- Review the summary information and then click Submit.

For a 3 node cluster with 1 collector:
- Platform1: support password=VMware1! consoleuser password=Test@123
- Platform2: support password=VMware1! consoleuser password=Test@123

- Collector: support password=VMware1! consoleuser password=Test@123
