Inventory sync fails with an error message Unable to import the vIDM, due to invalid system admin password. Retry after entering the correct system admin password.

Cause

The inventory is not updated with correct system Admin password when the default password and Admin password provided during deployment are different.

Solution

During the deployment, ensure that you provide the same default password and the Admin password. You can also provide the correct system Admin password during the inventory sync request, and then proceed with the deployment.
