Tenant management using vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager APIs

The Tenant Management Controller APIs provide programmatic support to manage tenants, just as the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager user interface supports tenant management.

The process of tenant management involves creating tenants in VMware Identity Manager (vIDM), then associating those tenants with a vRealize Suite product such as vRealize Automation. By using the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager APIs, you can:

• Enable multi-tenancy in VMware Identity Manager 3.3.2 or later.
• Create and manage tenants in VMware Identity Manager.
• Associate a tenant with vRealize Automation during or after tenant creation.

Prerequisites for tenant management

All tenant management operations include the following common prerequisites:

• Verify that the appliance name and fully qualified domain name of the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager instance are available.
• Verify that the URL variable is assigned.
