Add an identity source for the domain in the vCenter Single Sign-On configuration.

Verify that the vCenter Server Appliance successfully joined to the domain.


  1. Log in to the vSphere Web Client as administrator@vsphere.local or as another user with vCenter Single Sign-On administrator privileges.
    Users with vCenter Single Sign-On administrator privileges are in the Administrators group in the vsphere.local domain.
  2. Select Administration > Single Sign-On > Configuration.
  3. On the Identity Sources tab, click Add an Identity Source.
  4. Select Active Directory (integrated Windows Authentication).
    Ensure that the correct domain name is propagated in the Domain Name field.
  5. Select Use Machine Account to speed up configuration.
  6. Click OK.
