Upgrade hardware acceleration NAS plug-ins on your host when a storage vendor releases a new plug-in version.
In the procedure, --server=server_name specifies the target server. The specified target server prompts you for a user name and password. - Upgrade to a new plug-in version:
esxcli --server=server_name software vib update -v|--viburl=URL
The URL specifies the URL to the VIB package to update. http:, https:, ftp:, and file: are supported.
- Verify that the correct version is installed:
esxcli --server=server_name software vib list
- Reboot the host.
