You can install the I/O filters in your vSphere environment and then enable data services that the filters provide on your virtual machines.
Before you begin
VMware partners create I/O filters through the vSphere APIs for I/O Filtering (VAIO) developer program and distribute them as filter packages. Packages offered as vSphere Installation Bundles (VIBs) can include I/O filter daemons, CIM providers, and other associated components.
