Create a Security Banner for the Direct Console

A security banner is a message that is displayed on the direct console Welcome screen.

Procedure

1. From the vSphere Web Client, connect to the vCenter Server.
2. Select the host in the inventory.
3. Click the Manage tab.
4. Click Settings.
5. Under System, select Advanced System Settings.
6. Select Annotations.
7. Click the Edit icon.
8. Enter a security message.

Results

The message is displayed on the direct console Welcome screen.
