Before you can create iSCSI targets and LUNs and define iSCSI initiator groups, you must enable the iSCSI target service on the vSAN cluster.
Procedure
- Navigate to the vSAN cluster.
- Click the Configure tab.
Option Description vSphere Client - Under vSAN, click iSCSI Target Service.
- Click to Enable the vSAN iSCSI target service.
- Edit the vSAN iSCSI target service configuration. You can select the default network, TCP port, and Authentication method at this time. You also can select a vSAN storage policy.
vSphere Web Client - Under vSAN, click iSCSI Targets.
- Click the vSAN iSCSI target service Edit button.
- Select the Enable vSAN iSCSI target service check box. You can select the default network, TCP port, and Authentication method at this time. You also can select a vSAN Storage Policy.
- Click OK or Apply.
