You can map a new SSO user to a guest user account by creating a new user map. Mapping can be established for any type of SSO users, for example solution and users.
Prerequisites
Power on the virtual machine.
Procedure
- Navigate to the virtual machine that you want to view the list of user mappings for.
- Log in to a guest OS account and add a new user mapping.
Client Steps vSphere Client - On the Configure tab, click Guest User Mappings.
- Specify your user name and password and click Log In.
- In the Guest User Mappings pane, click the Add button.
The Add New User Mapping dialog box opens.
- From the list of SSO users, select the SSO user that you want to map to a guest user account.
- Specify a guest OS user name and click OK.
The SSO user is mapped to a guest user account. A new guest user account is added to the list of Guest User Mappings.
vSphere Web Client - On the Configure tab, expand Settings and select Guest User Mappings.
- Click the Authenticate button.
- In the Authentication dialog box, specify your user name and password and click OK.
- Click the Add new user mappings icon.
The Add New User Mapping dialog box opens.
- From the list of SSO users, select the SSO user that you want to map to a guest user account.
- Specify a guest OS user name and click OK.
The SSO user is mapped to a guest user account. A new guest user account is added to the list of Guest User Mappings.
