You can view the existing guest user mappings for guest operating systems on the selected virtual machine. You need to authenticate your credentials to view guest mappings.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the virtual machine that you want to view the list of user mappings for.
  2. Log in to a guest OS account and view the list of existing in-guest user mappings.
    Client Steps
    vSphere Client
    1. On the Configure tab, click Guest User Mappings.
    2. Enter your user name and password and click Log In.

      The existing in-guest user mappings are displayed.

    vSphere Web Client
    1. On the Configure tab, expand Settings and selectGuest User Mappings.
    2. Click the Authenticate button.
    3. In the Authentication dialog box, enter your user name and password and click OK.

      The existing in-guest user mappings are displayed.
