You can view summary details of all the clusters, specific cluster details, and alert details for the vCenter Server.

vCenter Overview

The vCenter Overview page summarizes the overall information of inventory objects at the vCenter Server level. You can view the number of data centers, clusters, hosts, virtual machines, and resource pools for the vCenter Server. To access this option, navigate to Quick Links > vCenter > Overview . If you do not have any vSAN clusters configured, a message is displayed stating that there are no vSAN clusters. There are delays in the collection of statistics in the initialization stage.

Displays the critical alerts. For more information, click View Details.

Am I running out of capacity?

Displays whether there is sufficient storage, memory, and CPU capacity.

What can be reclaimed?

Displays the CPU, memory, and storage resources that can be reclaimed. Potential cost saving data is also displayed if present, in the appropriate currency.

How many VMs running?

Displays the number of VMs that are running including details of VMs that are powered off and idle.

What is the operating system distribution?

Displays the operating system distribution of the different VMs in the vCenter Server.

Are clusters configured for HA?

Displays the number of clusters that are configured with and without HA.

Are clusters Workload Balanced?

Displays whether DRS is enabled in a cluster.

vCenter Cluster View

You can view the number of hosts, VMs, and datastores in the cluster. You can also view whether the cluster is HA and DRS enabled. To access this option, navigate to Quick Links > vCenter > Cluster View. Click the Change Cluster option to view information for different clusters.

Alerts

You can view alerts pertaining to objects in the vCenter Server. You can view the alerts based on their criticality. To access this option, navigate to Quick Links > vCenter > Alerts. The datagrid displays a list of alerts and the relevant details such as the criticality of each alert, the object it is triggered on, and the type of alert. Click the Open in vRealize Operations link in the data grid to navigate to the user interface of vRealize Operations Manager. You can find out the object for which the alert is triggered and the remediation details.
