Host-local swap allows you to specify a datastore stored locally on the host as the swap file location. You can enable host-local swap for a DRS cluster.
Procedure
- Browse to the cluster in the vSphere Client.
- Click Configure.
- Under Configuration, select General to view the swap file location and click Edit to change it.
- Select the Datastore specified by host option and click OK.
- Browse to one of the hosts in the cluster in the vSphere Client.
- Click Configure.
- Under Virtual Machines, select Swap file location.
- Click Edit and select the local datastore to use and click OK.
- Repeat Step 5 through Step 8 for each host in the cluster.
