Checkout how to change the size of the Kubernetes control plane VMs of a Supervisor in your vSphere IaaS control plane environment.

Prerequisites

  • Verify that you have the Modify cluster-wide configuration privilege on the cluster.

Procedure

  1. In the vSphere Client, navigate to the Workload Management.
  2. Under Supervisors and select the Supervisor.
  3. Select Configure and select General .
  4. Expand Control Plane Size.

  5. Click Edit and select new control plane size from the drop-down menu.
    Option Description
    Tiny 2 CPUs, 8 GB Memory, 32 GB Storage
    Small 4 CPUs, 16 GB Memory, 32 GB Storage
    Medium 8 CPUs, 16 GB Memory, 32 GB Storage
    Large 16 CPUs, 32 GB Memory, 32 GB Storage
    Note: Once you select a control plane size, you cannot scale down. For example, if you have already set the Tiny option during Supervisor activation, you can only scale up from it.
  6. Click Save.

    You can only scale up the control plane size.
