If you are using vSphere Distributed Switch (vDS) networking, you can install and configure the NSX Advanced Load Balancer 22.1.4 in your vSphere IaaS control plane environment.
- Verify that your environment meets the requirements to configure vSphere IaaS control plane with the NSX Advanced Load Balancer. See Requirements for a Three-Zone Supervisor with NSX Advanced Load Balancer and Requirements for Enabling a Single Cluster Supervisor with NSX Advanced Load Balancer in vSphere IaaS Control Plane Concepts and Planning.
- Download the NSX Advanced Load Balancer OVA. VMware provides an NSX Advanced Load Balancer OVA file that you deploy in your vSphere environment where you enable Workload Management. Download the latest version of the OVA file that is supported with vSphere IaaS control plane from the VMware Customer Connect portal.
Note: The procedures in this guide are relevant to the
NSX Advanced Load Balancer that is supported with
vSphere IaaS control plane 8.0 Update 2. There could be later versions of
NSX Advanced Load Balancer that are available and the UI workflows might be different.
For more information about the
NSX Advanced Load Balancer, see the
VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer Documentation.
