Converting an Amazon EC2 Instance to a VMware Virtual Machine

With Converter Standalone, you can convert Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) Windows and Linux instances to VMware virtual machines.

You can perform a conversion operation of an Amazon EC2 instance to a VMware virtual machine in the following ways.

• Import the source machine directly to an ESXi host that a vCenter Server instance manages.
• Convert the Amazon EC2 Windows instance to a VMware Workstation virtual machine and then manually import the virtual machine to an ESXi host.
