You can delete the product servers that are no longer in use. vCloud Usage Meter designates the server as inactive. An inactive server can be reactivated to reinclude it in collections.

Procedure

  1. Click Manage in the top right menu bar of the Web application.
  2. Click the Products tab.
  3. On the Products tab, to delete a server, in the appropriate product area, select the server, click Delete.
    The product is placed in an inactive state and it can be reactivated again later. After deletion or reactivation, force a collection or wait for the hourly collection to ensure the change in metering.
  4. Manage the scope of metering for a product.

    Option Description
    Delete server Locate the server you want to remove and click Delete. Irrespective of whether any data was collected before the deletion, vCloud Usage Meter designates the server as inactive. Any data that was collected before deletion remains in the database.
    Display inactive servers Locate the product area and click the Show Inactive check box. The deleted products that have collected data is shown in the list.
    Reactivate server Locate the product area and click the Show Inactive check box. Select the inactive server and click Activate. It is moved to the active list.
