Check whether the SMTP port accepts the connections. |
SMTP server authentication issues |
If your SMTP server requires authentication, make sure that you enter the correct username and password. The vCloud Usage Meter appliance protects the stored password. |
SMTP over SSL/TLS issues |
If your SMTP server requires SSL/TLS, make sure that you enable the option while configuring the local email notifications and verify that the port you entered is correct. You can find more information about the issue in the /opt/vmware/cloudusagemetering/platform/log/vmware-um-journal.log file. |
