For all the configurations that you plan to run in your private cloud, multiple clusters or unclustered ESXi hosts and data stores might have the required capabilities. You can change the cluster or data stores on which the configuration runs.

Procedure

  1. Log in to vRealize Business for Cloud as an administrator at:
    • https://vRealize_Automation_host_name/vcac/org/tenant_URL (for the vRealize Automation integrated setup)

    • https://vRealize_Business_for_Cloud_host_name/itfm-cloud(for the vRealize Business for Cloud standalone setup)

  2. Click Business Management.
  3. Under Planning, click Cloud Comparison.
  4. Change the cluster configuration.

You can change the cluster configuration only for the virtual machines that are either added or imported by using Compare new VMs across clouds link.

    1. To change the cluster for the virtual machine group, click the link where the cluster name or host name is displayed.

By default, vRealize Business for Cloud selects the cluster with the least price.

    2. Click the Select Cluster option.
    3. Select the cluster that you want to assign to the virtual machine group.
    4. Click Save.
  5. Change the data store configuration.
    1. To change the data store configuration for the virtual machine group, click the link where the data store name is displayed.

By default, vRealize Business for Cloud selects the data store with the least price.

    2. Select the Select datastore option.
    3. Select the data store that you want to assign to the virtual machine group.
    4. Click Save.

Results

vRealize Business for Cloud assigns the selected cluster or data store to the virtual machine group. After changing the cluster or data store, if the group configuration, cluster capabilities, or data store capabilities change, the selected cluster or data store is no longer suitable for this configuration, and the price is returned to be the default least price.
