You can view the details of virtual machines that are hosted on vCloud Air accounts. The report includes information such as virtual machine name, account name, service ID, name of the virtual data center to which the virtual machine belongs, the state of the virtual machine, configuration details and the cost details.


Verify that you have added a vCloud Air account in vRealize Business for Cloud. See vRealize Business for Cloud Installation and Administration Guide.


  1. Log in to vRealize Business for Cloud as an administrator at:
    • https://vRealize_Automation_host_name/vcac/org/tenant_URL (for the vRealize Automation integrated setup)

    • https://vRealize_Business_for_Cloud_host_name/itfm-cloud(for the vRealize Business for Cloud standalone setup)

  2. Click Business Management.
  3. Under Expenses, click Hybrid Cloud (vCloud Air).
  4. Click Virtual Machines.

    You see the virtual machine details along with configuration and cost information.

    General information

    • Virtual machine name

    • Account name

    Source information

    • Virtual data center name to which the virtual machine belongs

    • Virtual application name

    • Organization name

    Additional information

    • The operating systems running on the virtual machine

    • The service offering type

    • Tag details

    • State of the virtual machine, whether powered on or off, suspended, or unknown state

    Allocated CPU, memory size and storage size

    Cost information

    • Pricing policy name

    • The total price

    • The total monthly cost for the virtual machine
