The Hyper-V plug-in is used for monitoring hierarchy and metrics. vRealize Hyperic supports both Windows operating systems with a Hyper-V role and standalone Hyper-V.

Configuration

No special configuration is required to use this plug-in.

Modeling

Model Hyper-V as a platform with the following metrics. Hyper-V includes its own metrics, in addition to regular Windows metrics. The Hyper-V host runs virtual machines, which are modeled as servers. Each virtual machine has its own services.

To monitor what is running on a specific virtual machine, you must install a separate agent on that machine.
