You can uninstall content packs. Uninstalling contact packs remove custom dashboards, saved queries, alerts, and extracted fields.
About this task
Content packs are saved as vCenter vRealize Log Insight Content Pack (VLCP) files.
Uninstalling a content pack makes it permanently unavailable for all users. Make a backup by exporting the content pack as a VLCP file first. See Export a Content Pack.
Verify that you are logged in to the vRealize Log Insight Web user interface as a user with the Edit Admin permission. The URL format is https://log-insight-host, where log-insight-host is the IP address or host name of the vRealize Log Insight virtual appliance.
- From the drop-down menu on the upper right, select Content Packs.
- Click the content pack that you want to uninstall and select Uninstall from the drop-down menu next to the name of the content pack.
- Click Uninstall.
The content pack is removed from the Installed Content Packs list.
