The Summary tab provides you with an overview of the state of the selected object, group, or application The badge states are based on the number and criticality of the alerts that are currently generated for the selected object. You use this tab to evaluate the impact that alerts are having on the object and use the information to begin troubleshooting problems.

How the Summary Tab Works

For the selected object, the Summary tab displays the alerts for the object and for any descendent objects as they affect the health, risk, or efficiency.

The overall alert status is calculated based on the highest criticality level of all alerts of a given type. For example, if an object has 1 Critical alert, 2 Immediate alerts, 1 Warning alert, and 2 Information alerts that affect Health, the Health badge is red to reflect Critical status. The badge is Orange is there are no Critical alerts but at least one Immediate alert. The badge is yellow if there are no Critical and Immediate alerts. The badge is green if there are one or more Information alerts or no alerts.

The alerts for the descendent objects are displayed to show any problems occurring at a lower level in the relationship tree but do not directly affect the state of the currently selected object.

Where You Find the Summary Tab
