You can activate Secure Shell (SSH) on a vRealize Operations node for troubleshooting. For example, to troubleshoot a server, you might require console access to the server through SSH. Deactivated SSH on a vRealize Operations node for normal operation.
Procedure
- Access the console of the vRealize Operations node from vCenter.
- Select Login and press Enter to access the login prompt and then log in.
- Run the
#systemctl is-enabled sshd
command.
- If the sshd service is deactivated, run the
#systemctl enable sshd
command.
- Run the
# systemctl start sshd
command to start the sshd service.
- Run the
# systemctl stop sshd
command to stop the sshd service.
You can also activate or deactivate Secure Shell from the SSH Status column of the vRealize Operations administration interface.
