You can install vRealize Operations on-premises on the following VMware Clouds: VMware Cloud on AWS and VMware Cloud on Dell EMC. You can use your on-premises vRealize Operations to manage and monitor your cloud infrastructure on VMware Cloud by simply adding a dedicated cloud account for VMware Cloud or by adding a vCenter Server account in vRealize Operations. You can extend the current set of monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and remediation processes of vRealize Operations on to VMware Cloud. It also provides you with a hybrid view of your environment.

VMware Cloud on Dell EMC

If you have moved a large part of your environment into VMware Cloud on Dell EMC, you can deploy or migrate your vRealize Operations instance into VMware Cloud on Dell EMC directly. After the vRealize Operations cluster is deployed on VMware Cloud on Dell EMC, you can collect data from other VMware Cloud SDDCs and the SDDC located on-prem using cloud proxies. You can deploy cloud proxies to send over data into the centralized analytics cluster deployed in VMware Cloud on Dell EMC.

The following image showsvRealize Operations deployed in VMware Cloud on Dell EMC collecting data from VMware Cloud on Dell EMC and On-Premise with or without cloud proxy.Collection of data from VMware Cloud on Dell EMC and On-Premise with or without cloud proxy.

You can deploy the vRealize Operations cluster in VMware Cloud on Dell EMC, see Deployment of vRealize Operations.
Note: Deploy the OVF template in the VMware Cloud on Dell EMC on the data center level. VMware Cloud on Dell EMC has two resource pools, the regular workload and the administrative workload. You can only deploy the new OVF template in the workload resource pool.

VMware Cloud on AWS

If you have moved a large part of your environment into VMware Cloud on AWS, you can deploy or migrate your vRealize Operations instance into VMware Cloud on AWS directly. After the vRealize Operations cluster is deployed on VMware Cloud on AWS, you can collect data from other VMware Cloud SDDCs and the SDDC located on-prem using cloud proxies.
