With global settings, you set times to delete objects, set timeouts, store historical data, use dynamic threshold and capacity calculations, and determine how vCenter Server users log in. For automated actions, you can select whether to allow actions to be triggered from alert recommendations automatically.
- From the left menu, click Administration, and then click the Global Settings tile.
- The global settings are categorised into Data Retention, Cost/Price, User Access, System Settings. Select one of the categories to edit the global settings.
- If you cannot find a settings, type the name of the setting in the search bar.
- When you edit a setting, Save and Cancel buttons appear. Make your selection to complete the editing process.
