vRealize Automation enables IT administrators to automate delivery and life-cycle management of infrastructure and application services.
Installing vRealize Automation involves installing the following main components:
An identity server, which provides authentication services
The vRealize Automation appliance, which provides administration and self-service capabilities
An Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Windows Server, which supports cross-product infrastructure capabilities
You can use the Identity Appliance SSO that vRealize Automation provides for authentication or some versions of the SSO that vSphere provides. For information about supported versions of SSO and the Identity Appliance, see the vRealize Automation Support Matrix in vRealize Automation documentation at https://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/vcac-pubs.html.
